LONDON, 7 September 2026 — New research reveals the average Brit loses six days a year to inconveniences like traffic jams, tube delays and supermarket queues – while one in five (17%) waste an entire fortnight dealing with life’s minor mishaps.
These everyday annoyances leave Brits feeling frustrated (64%), stressed (43%), disappointed (23%) and bored (23%), with almost three quarters (71%) admitting the residual effects trickle into the rest of their day.
In a bid to lessen the nation’s frustrations and add a little sparkle to life’s unavoidable annoyances, Jose Cuervo is opening The Inconvenience Store: a one-of-a-kind corner shop where customers can swap everyday inconveniences for undeniably convenient ready-to-drink Sparkling Margaritas.
Resembling the interior of a London off license with a twist; there’s no cash required. Punters need simply fill out a ticket with their most recent inconvenience, pluck a ready-to-drink Sparkling Margarita from the fridge and submit their receipt to Jose Cuervo’s Bossman to enjoy a perfectly chilled sparkling Marg.
Launched to celebrate the arrival of Jose Cuervo’s long-anticipated ready-to-drink Sparkling Margarita cans, the one-of-a-kind corner store will be open on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th September, serving deliciously refreshing Sparkling Margaritas to anyone seeking a little more convenience in their lives.
According to the data from Jose Cuervo, travel and commuting cause Brits the most frequent chaos, with train delays, traffic jams and searching for a parking space cited as some of the nation’s most regular and most frustrating bugbears (35%).
Also topping the list are chores like taking out the bins or waiting in long queues at the supermarket (18%), British weather ruining plans or being wrongly forecast (15%) and digital or tech dramas (13%) like lengthy software updates or dodgy wi-fi.
More than just a momentary buzzkill, nuisances like unforeseen traffic jams and tech malfunctions have knock-on effects that last far beyond the event itself. More than one in 10 (16%) say the residual irritation carries into their next interaction with colleagues, friends or family, while a further 15% say it ruins their mood for the entire rest of the day, completely zapping their focus and productivity. A further one in 10 (11%) say they want to cancel their plans entirely and just go home when their day is unexpectedly derailed.
As research reveals two thirds (69%) of Brits think their lives would significantly improve with less everyday inconveniences, Jose Cuervo is doing its bit to add some sparkle to life’s more exasperating occurrences.
The Inconvenience Store can be found at 60-62 Broadwick Street, Soho, W1F ZAL and opens to the public from 12pm on Thursday 10th September and Friday 11th September 2026.
Crafted with authentic Jose Cuervo and boasting vibrant citrus flavours, Jose Cuervo’s lightly sparkling ready-to-drink Margarita delivers bar-quality taste with a crisp, refreshing finish – no shaker, no sticky counters and no fuss.
Available in independent convenience stores nationwide from September 3rd, the Jose Cuervo Sparkling Margarita cans will be sold as individual cans at a recommended retail price of £2.55.
